Lancero Tasting Notes

Hamlet and I strove to blend a Lancero that had the best elements  of the Montecirsto Especial and Por Larranaga Montecarlo.

How close did we get?

This is like nothing we have done before in the Nudies Lancero. In these, I think we have made one of the best Lanceros in the world today. 

It has been described as a mossy wood opening, some red pepper flakes in the retrohale and a core of sweet coffee goodness. This beautiful Lancero builds throughout bringing into play creamy chocolate, fresh baked bread and cinnamon. Pure medium bodied in the second third.

The last third continues to build but there are no harsh edges. Some salty wood elements with floral notes while the now cooking chocolate continues to play with your palate. Touch of Sancho Panza Molinos meets Por Larranaga Montecarlo. It will finish just over medium and you will nub it.

People, it’s $10.20 a stick. Put it up agains some of the best Lanceros in the world today…from any country.
